BOATSHED MARKET

MCA has been working with The Boatshed over the years working on a number of small projects:

  • Boatshed Forecourt

  • Boatshed Butchery

  • Boatshed Fish Co

  • Boatshed Coffee Stand

  • Boatshed Mezzanine Cheese + Wine Bar

  • BŌTO Teppanyaki + Wine Loft

Not many people know this, but our design for the Market Wine Loft had two main restrictions: No floor space was to be lost and the trading hours must not be impaired.

The design included fitting out the warehouse-like space with modified shipping containers. The space and it’s existing gantries were originally used to move around the the hull of the Australia II which won the America’s Cup. To adhere to the restrictions, this space was used and a section of roof was removed on the night of install and a 200 tonne crane lifted the 4 building modules into the building.

This was all completed in one night, and the Fine Wine Market was formed.
